MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas!! God Bless All. Good Morning. All ready for today? Yesterday we took our presents to our family the house was freezing among other things. It affected the children more than I thought it would. Last night in there prayers they all prayed for the family and to help keep them warm. That they were sorry that the family didn't have heat ,enough food, and that he bless them with the things they need. I see a definate growth in our children. It humbled us all. Marcy and Maylon were washing dishes and Marcy, didn't want to anymore, she says, "but mommy I'm getting old!!" They are sooo funny. We drove up last night to the ELks home. THe lights are spectacular. We also drove past this house very close to us that has beautiful lights. Our plan was to drive down to buchanann to the luminary that started at 6:00 thinking lights..duhh......it was candles along the road in milk jugs. It was still pretty. Each day we thank God for "renting" us a spot on this earth. What we do with it is up to us.

Lately....and answered prayer part 2

Good Morning Family and Friends!! Merry Christmas Eve. How is everyone? Today we have a full day. We take our gifts to our adopted family, pick up a ham, drop a gift to one of my cleaning ladies. Mark has a party at work. We will go somewhere tonight for services or to see lights. I HAVE to straighten house. MEEESSSSYYY!! Yes, I am one to leave it till last minute. Oh, I need to stuff the boys pillows I put together. Which is a BIG accomplishment....As the Sewing machine and I don't get along real well. Mother helped me. :) Marcy FOUND her little Fancy Nancy album that we had put together for Christmas for her....one less thing for her. Maylon was bringing the vacuum upstairs last night and broke TWO of my glasses from grandma greats stuff. At one time!!! He just let the "nozzle" hang over the island and knocked them off. So, He donned heavy work gloves, picked up the big pieces and Mason ( who was supposed to be helping him,and didn't) vaccuumed up the rest. MAAAYYYBBBEEE that will have them think next time. who knows. God has blessed us richly and is testing us each time we have a little "mess" like this one. :) Mason bought a go-cart with his applebutter money. He is fortunate to have that job. Friday I went shopping with Megan that was a fun day. We haven't done that in a long time. We are thankful for all of our family, young and old.:) Middle aged too. hee hee. :) We got to see our Montgomery family and Hubbard Family this last weekend at our christmases. It was a very fun time. The children got along well. Clinton's baptizing was very uplifting. We got a lot out of the message that day. We enjoyed the music also. I had to work Mon. and Tues. mornings. Yesterday Kellie went with me to Sam's I had to "mooch" off of her card. As I don't have one. We also went to this awesome wharehouse sale that I didn't know was there.......it turns out they are there all the time not just through christmas. Have a Merry Christmas!!
He answered prayer!!
But not in my brief hour;
I looked to see the fruit ere yet the flower
Had shed its gale of seetness over my path!!
But I have learned that slowest blossoms yield.
The choicest fruit; and so i leave them there
Upon the boughs, assured that they will bear
In time my answered prayer
Answered prayer part 2

What to do?

What to do? We don't know always. We just have to trust in the lord. We have to trust that he will help us in our time of need. Prayers go out to Sheleana and her family as they go through the grief and turmoil of a funeral. Also, that it will be a joyous time....as he is gone to a better place. Let us hold on to Jesus...As he knows just how far the east is from the west....from one scarred hand to the other.......

Good Morning Friends

All you need to know is in Psalm 118. GOOD MORNING!! Yes, I am blogging late today. I needed to get a little organized for the day. We had a wonderful time this weekend. The cookie exchange was a success. Thank Leslie and Melanie for their hospitality and a place to stay. Sunday we heard a great message and were welcomed with open arms to the potluck and Christmas Caroling. God has blessed us richly with the Waynesboro congregation and their kind souls. We love everyone greatly. Our Children have been so welcomed and get a long great. THat means A LOT to us. Today we are cleaning up, going over spelling words, and such. Mark's mom is back on the couch with inflammation in her tendons in the knee. Prayers for her please. The children and I plan to go up this eve. to take some food and vacuum or something. :)
He answered Prayer
He answered prayer!!
Not in the way I sought:
Not in the way that I had thought He ought!
But in his own good way; and I could see
He aswered in the fashion best for me.
And I was glad that I had such a share
In His parental love and gracious care,
That thus He answered prayer.
Stay tuned for more tomorrow....

Then after potluck and Christmas Caroling its Home again Home again jiggety jig. We are riding with Daddy in Mother in the Suburban...aaah plenty of room for fussing children. Have a great weekend!! I found this on the homeschool lounge that someone had written..all I have to say is....amen sista!!!! What we have to remember it all stems from what's going on within the home..what the parent's beliefs are and so forth. I do not rag on the Public School system, I am not here to have my kids be 'super achievers', or to frown on moms who choose alternative routes in schooling. (Just recently there was a mom who belonged to a h/school group that totally made her feel uncomfortable for unschooling. Come On! Let's give each other support no matter what! We are all here for the same reason..) There are all different degrees of homeschooling / different styles/different religious beliefs/different social activities and so forth..once again--the art of diversity! (LOL)...

All you need to know is in Psalm 118.
We live in a log cabin in Va in a Windy "Holler" :), thus the name: Windy Acres. We had always wanted a log cabin and I always had a certain "look" that I wanted. We are so thankful for our family and friends whom helped us build. It won't ever be forgotten. As much as we love our cabin.....if the opportunity arose to move to Florida.....our bags are packed...hee hee. The weather is just splendid there.

Faith...my view

Faith isn't a weak or pitiful emotion, but it is a vigorous confidence built on the fact that God is our HOLY love. Even though he isn't in the flesh and we don't always understand him......we still know him. God WILL answer our prayers...it may not be what we want...but it will be his will. Faith isn't something you can put on Sunday morning like your Sunday clothes, It an existance that you carry with you...to the store, library,in the car, EVERYWHERE. I am constantly working on it. :)

Thursday already...

Hello and Good Morning. Well, today is Thursday Dec. 11. I go clean today at 10:00 and won't be home until 2:10. This house was built in 1837 and most everything looks like it's from that era. It is a relaxing cleaning job if that makes any sense. Mostly I think because I LOVE that era and it's an adventure to go every other week. This evening we are going to work on our Christmas cards and wrap my spice scones and apple cake for tomorrow night to sell at Dicken's Christmas. Mark will bring the children to see the parade. It is so neat....most like an old fashioned Christmas era. Here is a neat "Testimony Plate" that I saw in the Salvation Army Magazine........XALTHIM...........Let us all remember and pray.

First Blog

Good Morning one and all. I have decided to create this blogspot for our family. I enjoy typing, but not spending too much time on the computer. Some days more than others. Aahh. The Joys of the upcoming Holidays. All the hustle and bustle. I actually haven't started my "hustle and bustle" yet. I have not yet done ANY christmas shopping. Usually I am ready to start buying in September or sooner. I've done Fresh Apple Cakes for people and have the Dicken's of Christmas coming up Friday to sell at, but I'm not worried, things will get done. This is our first year homeschooling, so we are extra busy and money doesn't go as far as it used to. I used to stress tremendously that everything needed to be just so, with decorations, gifts immediately under the tree. God has seen to it that I have changed my outlook. This year we are having a small birthday party for Jesus, we adopted a family to give gifts to this year with our homeschool group, and will have someone over to eat with us Christmas day to celebrate our dear saviors birth. Yes, the calendar is very full, but with God's help I haven't stressed, so far. :) We hope to go with a friend to take christmas cards to a nursing home for the blessed souls there that we have all made.
